I’m a bit of a tattoo fan and this is one of the coolest tattoos I’ve seen. Super creative re-imagining/re-imaging of a traditional dragon tattoo merged with a Chinese Crested. It’s inked on the arm of mbolism, mom to previously featured VooDoo and Aurora Dior. Her friend billyvoo took the photo [...]

Once again the “winner” of the Ugliest Dog Award is a Chinese Crested. He’s missing an eye and only has three legs because of cancer. He’s not that ugly, in my opinion. I’m not really sure what to make of a contest like that, or what to make of the dominance of Cresteds in the [...]

Gorgeous Dior, originally uploaded by mbolism.
Here’s Aurora Dior, housemate to Voodoo who was posted here last week. She’s wearing a hairpiece designed and created by mbolism. Check out her store, hairofthedogdetroit, for cool Crested accessories!

Voodoo is a year and a half old and lives just north of Detroit in Ferndale, MI. He came from rcrested, a breeder with excellent ethics and a great breeding program and philosophy. Voodoo lives with a crested sister, Aurora [...]

Crested Guardians is a non-profit volunteer Chinese Crested breed rescue group dedicated to rescuing Chinese Crested dogs in need and re-homing them with appropriate, responsible owners.
We missed the raffle, but they’re still seeking donations to help pay for Stiller’s heartworm treatment.
Why not check them out, adore the rescues they have available, and make [...]

1) Puppy mill: The National Companion Animal Coalition defines puppy mills as a high-volume, sub-standard dog breeding operation, which sells purebred or mixed-breed dogs, to unsuspecting buyers. Characteristics common to puppy mills include: sub-standard health and/or environment issues; sub-standard animal care, treatment and/or socialization; sub-standard breeding practices which lead to genetic defects or hereditary disorders; [...]

This is about 30 minutes long and follows a couple of stories. It isn’t graphic, but it’ll make you cry. Hopefully, it’ll make you grateful, too. And if it moves you, please click on one of the rescue links in my sidebar and go make a donation or choose a dog to sponsor. Every little [...]
